The Boca Raton News has been inundated with calls about the status of Kings Gourmet Market.

It is closed.  And the latest information from the owner, Sussman Restaurant Brokerage, is that no new location has been found.

A couple of years ago, Sussman Brokerage purchased Kings Gourmet Market with the intention of moving it to the Boca Grove Shopping Plaza.  The deal fell through.

A plan was also in the works to open a Kings Gourmet Market in retail space in a parking garage in Delray Beach, but that effort also failed.

The original Kings Gourmet Market building on North Military Trail in Boca Raton was damaged when the roof caved in and it cannot be used without extensive repair.
