Pet of the week is Gilligan, a black cat

Gilligan, a black cat who lives at the Tri County Humane Society shelter, would rather be on your island.
I’m Gilligan, and here I am with about 90 other cats, trying to win someone over and find a home.
About 30 of us are black cats, which statistically have a tougher time being adopted for some reason. I don’t know why, since I am surely going to bring you good luck.
So….what's so special about me? Sit down and I'll tell you.
First, I'm a handsome, glossy black youngster, under a year old and somewhat small. I'm neutered and I can live happily with other cats. I have none of that “catitude” that many felines demonstrate either.
I'm a real lover boy who adores being held and petted. I will creep my way up to the area of your neck to snuggle, and purr happily in your ear to show how much I appreciate you.
Purr-haps we can be friends forever, so come to meet me. Ask for Gilligan, and make me your “little buddy.”
I'm available for adoption at Tri-County Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter located at 21287 Boca Rio Road in Boca Raton. The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Adoption fees for companion animals are $110 and up. Animals are heartworm tested and up-to-date on vaccinations. Included in the adoption fee is one year of free office visits to Regency Veterinary Clinic. Call (561) 482-8110 or visit http://www.tricountyhumane.org/.
