| Welcome to 2009. If you are a business owner like I am, you are glad that 2008 is over and hope for a major business climate change in 2009. There is not much any one of us could do individually to change the economy, nor do we have the capability to single-handedly improve the world financial markets. However, if you are an optimist like me, you might be able to see certain opportunities for the New Year, seize the challenges that plagued you last year and move forward with a well-conceived plan of attack for the future. As I see it, today’s economy and its effect on small businesses is a war.
