Paid Too Much??

The reality of a primarily video world is that humans react to (spend little time thinking about) what’s visual, and respond to (spend more time thinking about) what’s read. 

But there are outlandish exceptions.

A Palm Beach Gardens letter writer on this page reports having read our story about Palm Beach County Administrator Bob Weisman’s annual pay hike to $251,000.  The letter writer goes off on Weisman, fatuously saying that the 17-year administrator does nothing. 

Nothing could be further from the truth.

The county is well served by Weisman who – and with grace and skill -- winds his way through the minefields inherent in a more than 5000 employee and 30-plus department administration.  

Not to mention, the tortured tether between him and the Medusa’s head of egos, perspectives, petulances and prerogatives visited upon him by seven county commissioners and the staffs thereof. 

Paid too much?  

If we could, we should pay him more – for the latter alone.
