‘Tis the season to be generous.
At least city leaders in Boca Raton and Delray Beach hope that’s true.
Both communities have launched gift collection drives for the holidays. Boca Raton Fire Rescue is collecting toys for kids and packages for the troops overseas. Delray Beach Fire Rescue has just launched its toy drive.
Firefighters in Boca Raton and special volunteers hope to make this holiday season an exceptional one for needy children as well as America’s fighting forces.
The Boca campaign began Friday and continues through Monday, Dec. 22. Firefighters will be accepting new, non- wrapped toys that will then be distributed through various outreach organizations to families in need.
In addition, the fire stations will also be a collection sites for holiday packages that will be shipped to soldiers overseas. Residents can drop off toys & packages at any of the following Boca Raton fire stations: Fire Station 1, 1151 North Federal Highway; Fire Station 2, 903 West Palmetto Park Road; Fire Station; Fire Station 3, 100 South Ocean Blvd.; Fire Station 4, 351 West Yamato Road; Fire Station 5, 2333 West Glades Road; Fire Station 6, 1901 Clint Moore Road; Fire Station 7, 3001 West Yamato Road and Fire Station 8, 190 SW 18th St.
