Palm Beach County commissioners approve renewal of Credit Union ATM leases

July 17th, 2008

By John Johnston

Palm Beach County commissioners have approved one year lease extensions with the Palm Beach County Credit Union for the operation of automated teller machines (ATMs) at four separate offices of the Palm Beach County tax collector.

Approved were the ATMs located at 501 South Congress Avenue, Delray Beach; at 301 N. Olive Ave, West Palm Beach; at 200 Civic Center Way, Royal Palm Beach; and at 3188 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens.

The initial term of each operating license agreement was for approximately six months ending May 31, 2008, with five extension options, each for a period of one year. The renewal option just approved will extend the term of each agreement through May 31, 2009.

There is no annual rent for these agreements, said commissioners.

Other Business

In other recent business commissioners:

  • Approved a $7,000 agreement with the City of Boynton Beach to offset expenses paid by the city for the 2008 Boynton Beach Heritage Celebration held during the month of February 2008.  The various activities in the event attracted approximately 6,000 participants, said commissioners, and funding will come from the District 7 Recreation Assistance Program (RAP) account.
  • Received and filed a request to extend the project completion date to Dec. 31 for the purchase of band and percussion section for Lake Worth Community Middle School, using District 3 RAP funds.
  • Executed an independent contractor agreement with Eric Mundt, Diving Instructor, Aqua Crest Pool in Delray Beach.
  • Approved a resolution vacating a 12-foot wide utility easement generally located on the northeast corner of Beeline Highway & Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, on the west side of Park of Commerce Boulevard.  The petitioner is requesting the vacation because the platted utility easement conflicts with the Final Plan, said commissioners.
