West Boca Medical takes donations for hurricane victims in Haiti

September 18th, 2008

FROM STAFF REPORTS

West Boca Medical Center is teaming up with five other Tenet hospitals in Miami-Dade and Broward counties to assist Haitians who were ravaged by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.

West Boca Medical Center will serve as a collection point in Palm Beach County for non-perishable food items such as rice, dry beans, canned goods, powdered milk, cereals, pasta, flour, sugar and bottled water.

Other items needed for the relief effort include toothpaste and toothbrushes, blankets, towels, shampoo and soap.

Items may be dropped off in the lobby of the hospital, located at 21644 State Road 7 in Boca Raton, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., through Friday, Sept. 19.

All donations will be delivered to the Archdiocese of Miami – St. James Catholic Church for distribution in Haiti.
