Boca Raton-based Finance Group Worldwide has arranged permanent financing for a refinance of Sandalfoot Square, a 10,770 square foot retail/office property at 9825 SW 18th St. in Boca Raton.   President Matt Weaver and Thomas D. Wood & Company secured a $2.25 million loan for owner Sandalfoot Retail Plaza, LLC, an ownership entity of Sandalfoot Square developer CJM Communities. CJM Communities is a Boca Raton-based builder that specializes in residential and commercial development throughout Florida.

The Broward Community College Foundation has named Jay R. Semmel, MBA, CPA, as director of finance and operations for the foundation.  He oversees the foundation’s accounts receivable. accounts payable and investments and manages the overall operations of the foundation including stewardship and database.
He previously served in several top-level financial posts at Florida Atlantic University for 18 years, most recently as assistant vice president for finance in FAU’s Division of Research for three years. 

Diane L. Brennan, JD a financial professional with AXA Advisors, LLC in Boca Raton, has earned a Certificate in Retirement Planning from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is one of only 550 financial professionals nationwide to complete this retirement planning education program. Bill Degnan, senior vice president and head of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company's At Retirements unit, made the announcement.
