Dear Victoria
By Victoria Howard
Dear Victoria,
I am a 23-year old college student who is going for her masters
in psychology. I am so sick of watching my girlfriends hop from one
bed to another and destroy their lives by partying and taking drugs.
Don’t get me wrong. I am no Mother Theresa, but thank
God I have gotten that destructive and crazy lifestyle out of my system.
I would like to meet a nice guy, but have been unable to. They
all try to impress me with material things. When they see that I am
not influenced and do not succumb to their advances, they don’t
call me again.
I refuse to lower myself to their level. Do I have to ‘give
in’ to have a relationship? I hope not!
Young and Restless
Dear Young and Restless,
Absolutely not! It is so good to find someone at such a young age
who still has morals. You should be proud of yourself. If I had a
daughter, I would want her to be like you.
I am willing to bet you are an exceptionally beautiful woman,
for it sounds like you intimidate the hell out of these men. They
are insecure and immature.
Keep on the path, girlfriend. When a man is secure enough
to see what an intelligent and honorable woman you are, he will be
the one!
