Town Center plans special events for Mother’s Day

Town Center at Boca Raton mall celebrates moms by offering special events and promotions the weekend of Mother’s Day, May 9, 10 and 11, including an orchid show and sale, a singing tribute to moms by the Hurricane Harmonizers and a special gift with purchase.
Town Center will host a Mother’s Day Orchid Show and Sale, presented by the Deerfield Beach Orchid Society Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, in the Nordstrom wing, during mall hours.
The show and sale will showcase creative floral arrangements made of various types of orchids in unique containers. The designs will vary from single plants to multiple plants massed together to create artistic designs.
Local florists will display talent and donate orchid arrangements for a raffle table with proceeds benefiting further orchid education and the Simon Youth Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that fosters educational and career development for at-risk youth.
The Hurricane Harmonizers, a Boca Raton barbershop chorus "a cappella" group who sing everything from barbershop to doo-wop, will pay tribute to moms for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. The vocal group will stroll through the mall entertaining shoppers and handing out mini-carnation bouquets while supplies last.
Hurricane Harmonizers, the Boca Raton chapter of The Barbershop Harmony Society, is comprised of male volunteers who entertain all over southeast Florida with charitable performances at clubs, retirement communities and assisted living homes, hospitals and hotels.
The group’s mission is to keep the Barbershop Harmony Society alive. The society consists of over 40,000 members with more than 1,000 chapters worldwide and 44 chapters in Florida alone.
Town Center is also offering another way to celebrate Mother’s Day throughout the entire month of May. Those who purchase $150 in VISA gift cards will receive a “love to shop” key ring while supplies last.
