The closet is nearly bare.
Kids In Distress of Broward and Palm Beach County is calling on the community to help fill the clothing closet. The need is for new clothing sizes 2T to 16 and shoes, particularly sneakers, sizes 8 toddler to 4 children’s.
“Everyone is so generous during the holidays, but as the year goes on, our kids still have needs, and right now we have a shortage of summertime clothing,” said Phyllis Bard, development director for Kids In Distress.
“For some of these children, the clothing and shoes donated may be the only new items they have ever worn.”
She said gift card donations are also welcome.
Kids In Distress serves more than 7,000 children and families.
New clothing or gift cards can be dropped off at Kids In Distress, 819 NE 26th Street in Wilton Manors. For information call 954-390-7620 or visit KidsInDistress.org.
