COLONEL JOHN HARRISON CROWE
BOCA RATON
Colonel John Harrison Crowe, 92, of Boca Raton passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008. John was born on July 21, 1915; he was a graduate of The Naval Academy at Annapolis, Texas A&M and John Hopkins University. He retired a Full Colonel from the U.S. Army, after serving his country in both WW II and Vietnam. Colonel Crowe was a member of the Power Squadron; he assisted and flew with the Civil Air Patrol. He also volunteered for many years at the Boca Raton Police Department. He was a member of the Order of the Cincinnati, and a 32nd Degree Mason, and long member of Debbie-Rand Service League of Boca Raton. John was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sarah “Sally” in 2003. He is survived by his son John H. Crowe, Jr and daughter-in-law Jennie Belle of Leesburg, VA; as well as grandchildren John J. Crowe III and Kristin Crowe (David) Dusault; and two great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his four sisters, Florrie Rautenberg, Marion Wilbanks Hansen, Sally Miller, and Lucy Box. Full Military Honors and burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery. Babione Funeral Home (561-395-8787) has been entrusted with arrangements.
