Tools Taken
The operator of a local furniture store told police Dec. 14 that
someone entered two company work trucks and stole some drills and
hand tools worth about $500, according to Boca Raton police.
Lights Broken
A resident of the Villa Valencia Apartments on SE 12th Street in
Boca Raton told police Dec. 14 that someone vandalized the lights
at the entrance to the complex. The lights were repaired, and it cost
about $100, police said.
Auto Burglary
A Boca Raton woman told police she witnessed two men breaking into
an SUV while the vehicle was in the parking lot of a church on Yamato
Road, police said.
Lost Wallet
A Boca Raton man told police Dec. 13 that he left his wallet on the
toolbox of his pickup truck and drove away. Later in the day, he remembered
what he had done and retraced his steps, but was unable to find the
wallet. He said it contained several credit cards and personal papers.
Computer Stolen
A student at Lynn University reported to police Dec. 14 that someone
stole his laptop computer from his dormitory room, police said. The
laptop was in a backpack, he told police. There were no signs of forced
entry, a report said.
Theft Reported
A Boca Raton man told police Dec. 14 that about $10,000 worth of
jewelry and four designer purses were stolen from his 95-year-old
mother’s apartment between June and October 2007, a police report
says.
Sprinkler Tampering
Boca Raton police report that someone rewired the sprinkler system
of a homeowner association without permission or approval of the HOA.
An official said the sprinkler system was last seen operating normally
on Dec. 12 about 3:30 p.m. A police report said the rewiring changed
the water flow.
