Shoplifting Reports
Boca Raton police are investigating two reports of shoplifting at
Town Center at Boca Raton mall Dec. 15.
According to police, a woman was arrested about 2:25 p.m. for retail
theft after she was observed walking away from a market kiosk with
$34 worth of headbands she did not pay for. The woman was taken to
the police annex at the mall and then released on her own recognizance.
In addition, a man was arrested just after 5 p.m. for allegedly stealing
four shirts from the Macy’s Department Store, police said. They
were valued at $539, said police.
Car Theft
A man who lent his car to an employee who apparently did not return
it called Boca Raton police Dec. 15, police said. The employee was
to report to a work site in Broward County, but did not show up. The
owner signed a stolen vehicle affidavit, police said.
Laptop Taken
A thief stole a laptop computer from a Boca Raton business, says
a police report dated Dec. 15. Several other laptops were also apparently
taken. At the time the report was given, the number of missing laptops
had not been determined, police said.
Car Burglarized
A Boca Raton man told police Dec. 15 that his car was burglarized
while it was parked in one of the garages at Mizner Park, police said.
The thief took the car radio, said the report.
Harassing Calls
A Boca Raton couple contacted police Dec. 15 to report they are receiving
harassing and obscene telephone calls from a juvenile in the neighborhood,
police said.
Wallet Taken
A Boca Raton resident told police Dec. 15 that someone smashed the
front passenger window of his car and stole a wallet from under the
front passenger seat. It contained only his driver’s license
and health insurance card, police said.
