Drug Charges
Boca Raton police arrested a man about 4:15 a.m. Feb. 3 on drug charges, a police report says. The suspect was accused of being in possession of oxycodone (four pills), percoset (two pills) and vicodin (one pill). He was taken into custody after an encounter in the parking lot of a North Military Trail drinking spot. The suspect was processed and taken to the county jail, police said.
Vandalism Reported
A Boca Raton resident told police Feb. 3 that someone had spray-painted graffiti on a wall and a building on Crawford Boulevard, a police report said. He discovered the incident about 7:30 a.m.
Wallet Gone
A Boca Raton woman told police Feb. 3 that someone entered her car and stole her wallet and its contents from the unlocked glove box. Police said the vehicle was parked in front of her house at the time.
Salon Burglary
A Boca Raton hairdressing salon was burglarized, according to a Feb. 3 police report. It said the suspect used a key that was stored in a security desk to enter the business. He then pried open a file cabinet and stole $170 in cash, police said. A $35 bottle of champagne was also stolen from a refrigerator, police said.
Truck Entered
A Boca Raton man told police Feb. 3 that someone entered his pickup truck and stole $100 in cash, a full prescription bottle of oxycodone and an Apple iPod. He told police the truck was parked in front of his residence.
SUV Burglarized
A Boca Raton man told police Feb. 3 that someone smashed the front passenger window to enter his car while it as parked on South Military Trail. The thief stole a wallet containing $300 in cash and many credit cards from the console, police said.
Scooters Taken
Boca Raton police said they received a report that two three-wheel scooters and a skateboard were taken from the front porch of a home on SE 11th Street, police were told Feb. 3.
Purses Stolen
Two women who are roommates told police Feb. 3 that they woke up that morning and found that money was missing from both of their purses, police said.
Cocaine Charge
After responding to a report of a suspicious incident about 10 p.m. Feb. 3, police arrested a man for possession of 1.7 grams of cocaine that was found in his pants pocket, police said. When a friend notice police frisking the suspect, he ran, but was apprehended a short distance away. Police said that man was charged with resisting without violence and possession of .3 gram of cocaine, police said. Both suspects were taken to the county jail.
Obstruction, Battery
Boca Raton police arrested a man about 10:55 p.m. Feb. 3 on NE 46th Street and charged him with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence and aggravated assault.
