Boca Raton Police Blotter

March 10th, 2008

Burglary Charges

Boca Raton police arrested two subjects on charges of loitering and prowling and burglary to an occupied dwelling last Tuesday, said police spokeswoman Sandra Boonenberg.

An officer on routine patrol about 3:20 a.m. in the 6000 block of North Federal Highway said he observed a dark colored SUV exit from Enfield Street, commit several traffic infractions, and then head northbound on Federal Highway at a high rate of speed.

After stopping the vehicle, the officer observed a variety of items in the back seat, police said.  The occupants gave conflicting stories and were subsequently arrested for loitering and prowling.

Among the items was a woman’s wallet and purse that listed a nearby address.  Police contacted them, and they said they were not aware the house had been entered.

Officers also found items taken from cars in the suspects’ vehicle.

The men arrested were identified as Bradley C. Begens, 20, of Aqua Vista Way, Boca Raton, and Stuart R. Bull, 21, of Boynton Beach.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Detective Flynn at (561) 620-6042.

Shooting Probed

Boca Raton police are investigating a shooting that occurred about 4:14 a.m. March 6.

According to a report, officers responded to a call about gunfire on I-95 just south of Palmetto Park Road.

When officers arrived on scene, the report said, they made contact with two victims who were uninjured.  A third victim, who sustained minor injuries, had left the scene and returned to his home, prior to the arrival of police.

The investigation was turned over to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office’s Violent Crimes Task Force, police said.

Drug Charge

Boca Raton police arrested a suspect Feb. 15 on a charge of possession of cocaine (residue) and paraphernalia (glass pipe), police said.  He was taken into custody on St. Andrews Boulevard and removed to the county jail, police said.
