Shooting Probed
Boca Raton police responded to the area of NE 44th Street about 8:40 p.m. March 24 to investigate a report of shots being fired. No one was found to be injured. Witnesses reported seeing two men leaving the area. While checking the location, police arrested a male juvenile on a charge of possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. He was taken to the county jail for violating house arrest, police said.
Habitual Offender
Boca Raton police arrested a 25-year-old man about 5:40 p.m. March 24 and charged him with being a habitual traffic offender and for possession of a schedule III substance. Police took him into custody after a traffic stop on Clint Moore Road. He was processed and taken to the county jail, police said.
Wallet Found
A man walking his dog at Mizner Bark in Boca Raton March 23 found a plastic bag containing a black wallet and a yellow dog brush. The items were turned over to police.
Bag Stolen
A New York woman reported to police March 24 that someone stole her $95 luggage bag from the room where she was staying in a local motel, police said.
Vehicle Burglarized
Boca Raton police received a report March 23 that someone broke into a woman’s car and stole an amplifier worth $375 and a CD player valued at $70. She said the car was parked at her home.
Window Smashed
The owner of a BMW convertible told police he parked his car at a local restaurant and when he came out, he found that the left front window was shattered. Nothing was missing from the car, he told police.
Drug Charge
Boca Raton police arrested a man just after midnight March 25 and charged him with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. He was taken into custody following a traffic stop. He was processed at the police station, and then released on his own recognizance, police said.
