Fire Death

Preliminary findings of the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner have shown that 10-month-old De'Adrian Wilson’s death in a fire Sunday morning was caused by smoke inhalation, according to Delray Beach Police Public Information Officer Jeff Messer.

The blaze broke out about 4 a.m. at 1100 S. Auburn Circle. Police said his parents were not home and seven stepsiblings escaped without hard.

Messer said Delray police have found no signs of a criminal act or neglect in connection with the fire, which has been ruled accidental, according to Community Education Specialist Lt. Trisha Dunkelmann.

Unarmed Robbery

Boca Raton police are searching for three suspects who robbed a man about 11:20 p.m. May 3 in the 100 block of SW Second Avenue, police said.

Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg said the victim told her he was confronted by a man on a bicycle who blocked his path and yelled at him.

The police spokeswoman said two other men approached from behind, threw the victim to the ground and began to punch and kick him in the face while demanding his money.

She said the suspects forcibly removed all the property from the victim’s front pockets and fled on bicycles southbound on SW Second Avenue, then east on SW 2nd Street.

Taken, police said, was a black nylon wallet containing $1,500 in cash, two checks totaling $900, a black cellular phone and his house and car keys.

Police said the victim sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Investigative Services Bureau at 338-1264.

Drug Charge

A motorist stopped by Boca Raton police just after 2 p.m. April 28 on St. Andrews Boulevard was arrested for drug charges, police said.  The man, who was stopped for going through a stop sign, was charged with possession of oxycodone, police said.
