Kravis Center
Annual Gala Benefit
Published February 17th, 2008
Youthful exuberance was the theme at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts’ annual Gala Benefit as dancers from the Joffrey Ballet performed their “Cool Vibrations” program to the music of Prince, Motown and the Beach Boys for the evening’s gala attendees. More than 300 people attended the Gala Benefit. Boca Raton resident Laurie Silvers, a member of the Kravis Center Board of Directors, was Chairman of the event. In her remarks to guests, Silvers recognized those who lent support to the event. Carole and Barry Kaye/Barry Kaye Associates generously sponsored the performance by the Joffrey Ballet and Grand Sponsor Carol Cohen sponsored the gala décor in memory of her late husband, Kravis Center Founding Director Julian Cohen. Proceeds from the evening help sustain the Kravis Center’s $19 million operating budget for diverse programming, including the center’s comprehensive arts education and community outreach programs.
