Ben-Gurion University of The Negev
Winter Weekend in Palm Beach
Published February 17th, 2008
The Negev desert came to Palm Beach in January as American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev’s Southeast Region hosted its first Winter Weekend Spectacular. The four-day event culminated in an Oasis of Innovation Symposium with five fascinating BGU professors, capped by a keynote address from Ambassador Dennis Ross. The festivities began on Jan. 17 with The Miracle in the Desert gala dinner dance at the Mar-a-Lago Club, honoring philanthropists Lore and Eric F. Ross. At the black tie gala, guests enjoyed a performance by Tovah Feldshuh, the acclaimed actress who is well known for Golda’s Balcony, her award-winning one woman show. Founded in 1972, this year marks American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev’s 36th year of support. For further information, contact Linda Slavin at 561-482-9424 or lslavin@aabgu.org.
