Vandalism Reports Police are investigating reports of vandalism to a business and to city property. Police said two male juveniles broke the water pipe to the rear of Spanish River Plaza on NE 40th Street Nov. 2, police said. The report said it also happened the night before.

Boca bank robbery suspect may have returned to Iowa; charges pending

Boca Raton police say a woman suspected of robbing a local bank last month may have fled to Iowa. Adding to the difficulty in finding her is the fact that she strongly resembles a man, said Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg.

Boca Raton police arrested four people between Sept. 5 and Sept. 7 on charges of driving while under the influence of alcohol. A man was arrested for DUI just after 2 a.m. Sept. 5 after a traffic stop on I-95, police said. He provided two breath samples.

Boca Raton police were dispatched to West Camino Real about 5 a.m. July 18 after a passenger refused to pay for a cab ride, police said. When officers arrived, the cabbie agreed to accept partial payment, said police, and then signed a refusal to prosecute form.

Boca Raton police arrested two motorists for driving while intoxicated the morning of July 18, police said. About 12:30 a.m., a woman was arrested after her vehicle was stopped in the 1700 block of South Federal Highway. She was taken to the county jail.

Police Blotter - August 10, 2008

Boca Raton police arrested three men just after midnight July 17 on charges of being under age 21 in possession of alcohol, police said. The trio, located at a local lounge, was issued notices to appear in court and released, police said. Also, a woman was taken into custody on a charge of obstruction for repeatedly trying to interfere during the arrest, police said. She was taken to the police station, processed, and then released on her own recognizance, police said.

Police Blotter - August 8th, 2008

Boca Raton police officers and detectives are investigating two suspicious fires in two city parks, said Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg. The first incident occurred Aug. 4 about 12:20 a.m. at Rutherford Park, 600 NE 24th St. She said witnesses told police they could see flames coming from the park.
