Alcohol Violations
Boca Raton police arrested three men just after midnight July 17 on charges of being under age 21 in possession of alcohol, police said. The trio, located at a local lounge, was issued notices to appear in court and released, police said. Also, a woman was taken into custody on a charge of obstruction for repeatedly trying to interfere during the arrest, police said. She was taken to the police station, processed, and then released on her own recognizance, police said.
Drug Charge
Boca Raton police arrested July 17 a local resident for being in possession of 22 grams of marijuana, police said. When officers approached his vehicle on NW 4th Avenue, they noticed a clear plastic bag near the console. They said it contained marijuana and was in plain sight. The suspect was processed and taken to the county jail.
Purses Stolen
A Boca Raton woman told police July 17 that someone stole a black Coach wallet-size purse from the front passenger seat of her car, police said. The wallet contained her driver’s license and $25 in cash, police said.
Also, a woman told police someone stole her handbag from the back of her chair in the café lounge area in front of Nordstrom in the Town Center at Boca Raton mall, police said.
Possible Drug
During the course of a traffic stop July 18, Boca Raton police seized three small white squares thought to contain an unknown dug. They were taken into evidence to be analyzed, police said.
Beer Theft
Boca Raton police said an unknown male stole two 18-packs of Coors Light Beer from a convenience store at a Glades Road gasoline station July 11, police said. The clerk said the man came in, grabbed the beer and fled in an unknown direction.
