Suspect nabbed for two Boca jewel heists

Boca Raton police have arrested a suspect in connection with two recent jewelry robberies, one the heist of a pair of diamond earrings worth a reported $90,000 from Macy’s at Town Center at Boca Raton mall, police said.

Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg said police arrested Ryan Bockiaro, 35, of 19268 Natures View Court, Boca Raton. She said he was charged with the theft of the earrings at Macy’s Sept. 19 and a second theft Sept. 25 at an office on West Yamato Road.  Police said several watches and rings worth $15,000 were taken in the second robbery.

Boonenberg said Bockiaro was taken into custody without incident.  He has been charged with two counts of grand theft and violation of probation.
