Scots, Bobcats split at dual meet

It was a late-season showdown designed to replicate the conditions of the upcoming county and state meets, and the competition was certainly in that class as Boca Raton High took on Saint Andrew’s School in a dual swim meet Wednesday between two of the best teams in the area. The Scots claimed a victory for the boys, 182-133, while the defending state champion Bobcats girls continued to roll this season with a 184-131 win.

Local fighter's first bout is Saturday at BankAtlantic

Nicolae Cury will be fighting in his first MMA event Saturday, and his timing couldn’t be any better. Cury, a Deerfield Beach resident who will be relocating to Boca, will fight fellow Brazilian Jorge Bouchat on the undercard of the Elite XC Saturday Night Fights, which will take place at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise Saturday.

Atlantic takes on Boynton in rivalry game

Atlantic coach Andre Thaddies is familiar with Boynton Beach’s Rick Swain, having gone against him both as an assistant and as a head coach when Swain was at Boca Raton High for four seasons.
